Before you get to the airport
1. Do not pack or carry disallowed Items to the airport.
2. Place jewellery, money, laptops and other valuables in hand luggage only.
3. Tape your business card to the bottom of your laptop.
4. Don’t wear clothes, jewellery or accessories that contain metal items that may set off the metal detector.
5. Don’t wear shoes that have thick soles or heels. Many of types of footwear will need further screening even if the metal detector is not set off.
6. Put all undeveloped film and cameras with film into your main luggage. Baggage screening equipment often damages rolls of undeveloped film.
7. If you want to lock your luggage, use a TSA-recognised lock.
8. Don’t bring lighters or matches to the airport.
9. Don’t pack wrapped gifts, and don’t bring wrapped gifts to the checkpoint. Wrap your gifts on arrival or send your gifts by mail before you leave. For security reasons, TSA may have to unwrap packages.
While at the Airport
